50 Sentence Challenge: Delta

#1: Air
Feeling the air whip past when you’re running at incredible speed was a feeling that Skydra often wanted to share with her brothers, particularly Light.

#2: Apples
Apples were a fruit, and Tear was particularly fond of them; they were sweet, tasty, and made for good missiles when someone was being an idiot.

#3: Beginning
Every one of them had a beginning, but more than one wondered if they’d ever have an end.

#4: Bugs
Living on the ARK had somehow made them used to bugs that got brought there from Earth, though Light still wanted to know how that spider got into his bed...

#5: Coffee
Heaven help the poor soul who annoyed the irritable hedgehog named Werin before he’s had his morning coffee.

#6: Dark
Darkness had never held any fear for Sky; spending the first few years of your life in it tends to cure any fear you have of it.

#7: Despair
Despair was a well known feeling that they all felt whenever memory rose of that small human girl with blond hair that used to live with them on the ARK.

#8: Doors
“You know Light, the idea behind having doors is entering a building through them, not the window.”

#9: Drink
Truly an impressive sight was Light and Tear at a drinking contest, since both could hold it down incredibly well and the scandals during or after the contests were always long remembered, if not always fondly.

#10: Duty
It could be confusing sometimes, trying to remember whether their duty was to protect or to destroy.

#11: Earth
He’d watched the blue planet from the ARK for more years than most of the other projects, yet Tear still couldn’t get over how beautiful it seemed from space.

#12: End
It was a sobering and depressing thought that they may live to see the end of the planet they had all begun to think of as home.

#13: Fall
There was something utterly exhilarating about flying up high and then making her wings vanish to freefall back down towards the planet.

#14: Fire
If he had to choose an element, his would be fire; it called to him and Light often zoned out, staring into crackling flames while far away in his thoughts.

#15: Flexible
The one nice thing about being the girl of the widely dysfunctional family was that she’d always be far more flexible than any of the guys.

#16 Flying
They weren’t hers by birth, but when she gave herself wings, Skydra loved nothing more than to fly for hours on end.

#17: Food
If there was ever something Light’d complain about because they were usually on the move, and complain loudly at that, it was missing meals.

#18: Foot
Air-shoes were handy when he had to keep up with his sister dashing off without warning, but damn they made his feet hurt after awhile.

#19: Grave
Looking down on grave-stones of friends long gone was something every project was doomed to see; immortality was said to be a blessing by many, but more than one of them thought otherwise.

#20: Green
Green and red were Christmas colours, but that didn’t stop Light chasing after several of his siblings when he woke up with green markings one morning.

#21: Head
One bad thing about being old and being able to drink was the roaring headache in the morning, though Tear often said it was worth it.

#22: Hollow
They say hollow words fall on deaf ears, but strangely whenever Werin talks, people tend to listen; probably due to his habit of sending his words at them in the form of a solid sound blade if they ignore him.

#23: Honour
“Carry on the honour of your line if you want, but remember, there’ll be a day when we’re the only ones to know what it means to be a prototype of the Ultimate Life Form.”

#24: Hope
Though he didn’t show it, Tear always had the little hidden hope inside him that one day he’d regain his powers when he really needed them most.

#25: Light
Light-hearted, fond of the day-time and able to create fire; Light’s name utterly suited him.

#26: Lost
After the accident, the twins of the Dual line had scoured the ARK searching for the lost first project of the Decimation Line, refusing to let him give up.

#27: Metal
She could hide the metal with her abilities, but when she allowed the metallic arm to see the light of day, Skydra couldn’t help but feel upset sometimes.

#28: New
Skydra and Light would look at the newest members of the extending family and tended to break out into identical evil grins; the older projects generally told the new ones to bolt when that happened.

#29: Old
Terrace was one of the oldest projects, and has no issue what-so-ever to make jokes about it since unlike the others, he actually looked it most of the time.

#30: Peace
For a prototype that controlled sound, Werin strangely preferred the peace and quiet.

#31: Poison
Aluminium was his weakness, and it’s nature turned Tear’s powers to poison, able to kill him if he wasn’t careful.

#32: Pretty
She was pretty much the tomboy, but Skydra was unable to resist the gorgeous colour and shining lustre of any form of gemstone or precious metal.

#33: Rain
The sound of rain can be used for his abilities, but Werin prefers to just listen to it most nights when the rain comes down in the darkness to create a quiet tune.

#34: Regret
“An old hedgehog has plenty of regrets; I just pray none of you have to see what we immortals do.”

#35: Roses
Most of the prototypes wanted to be there when the first unfortunate soul assumed that Skydra was your typical female to be bought by roses.

#36: Secret
The secret of how their lab was trashed had remained hidden for so long, Skydra and Light could almost forget that it had happened.

#37: Snakes
The Dual twins never did understand some peoples fear of snakes; they technically had the blood of a reptile in them, so it just didn’t make sense sometimes.

#38: Snow
“I love snow, but it’s horrible when something so pretty and fun to play in is also your greatest weakness.”

#39: Solid
Solid sound hurt like hell when it hit you, which was the reason people tried not to annoy the project with sound-based powers.

#40: Spring
When the flowers started blooming, Light would suddenly start grinning, for Spring was his favourite season.

#41: Stable
Having stable powers was a requirement in order to not be put straight into stasis after creation, but somehow Skydra had been left alone with her unstable drawing of chaos energy.

#42: Strange
The original prototypes, the first generation, they had some odd ideas sometimes, but getting together once in awhile to see how everyone was going and to tease the hell out of their younger siblings was always fun.

#43: Summer
Summer had an interesting effect on Skydra; it turned her into a playful creature almost as easy-going as her brother and sent the energy levels skyrocketing through the roof.

#44: Taboo
Between them, Skydra and Light would talk about any subject under the sun; however every project knew that bringing up the Dual Line continuation was a forbidden subject.

#45: Ugly
Hidden away under experiences and acceptance, Tear had an ugly side to him that was typical of the Decimation Line.

#46: War
“Don’t talk about war; we’ll live to see more of them starting and ending than anyone ever needs to, and all it’ll bring is more suffering to us and the world in general in the end.”

#47: Water
There was something calming about water; the unpredictable nature and feeling it gave reminded Tear of his own powers, even though water and lightning were opposite elements.

#48: Welcome
Light welcomed anyone to become his friend, whether they be family, human or Mobian, as long as they had a decent sense of humour.

#49: Winter
Sky hated winter, the cold slowed her down incredibly and Light tended to tease her about it constantly.

#50: Wood
Between them, Skydra and Light’s powers let them cut down and set up a campfire in less than two minutes, Rings and Flares making short work of the poor wood.
